Collaboration for the future
Since 2017, Constantine Sobol has served as a member and head of the Audit Commission at the Odesa Business Club, which brings together large and medium-sized businesses. He actively supports charitable initiatives, including funding the Diia.Business project in Odesa to help young entrepreneurs. Sobol also leverages his international connections, especially in Greece, to support Ukraine’s Defense Forces and strengthen diplomatic ties.
He maintains a broad network of contacts, including Greek mayors, business leaders, and diplomats, which helps foster collaboration between Ukraine and Greece. Sobol is also a member of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle club in Athens and plans to organize a “Greece-Ukraine” rally with 450 bikers as a show of solidarity with Ukraine.
Through his business, diplomatic, and humanitarian efforts, Sobol is dedicated to enhancing relations between Ukraine and Greece and supporting Ukrainian citizens during difficult times.

Mission
The Ambassador of Odesa in the City of Athens initiative, led by Ambassador Constantine Sobol, aims to foster stronger ties between Odesa, Ukraine, and Piraeus (Athens), Greece. The mission is centered on building new social and business connections that benefit both cities, enhancing mutual understanding and collaboration. By bridging these two culturally rich locations, the initiative seeks to strengthen bilateral relationships and create pathways for sustained cooperation in a variety of sectors, from culture to trade.
Actions
Under Ambassador Sobol’s leadership, numerous actions will be taken to forge deeper links between Odesa and Athens. These include organizing business forums, cultural exchanges, and joint initiatives that promote both cities’ interests. The Ambassador will also work on facilitating collaboration between local governments, businesses, and civil society organizations to enhance the economic and cultural exchange, ensuring both Odesa and Piraeus can thrive together through shared opportunities.
Plans
The plans for the Ambassador’s initiative involve long-term development projects that focus on Ukrainian culture and community engagement in Greece. These plans include the creation of Ukrainian cultural centers, the promotion of Ukrainian art, music, and heritage in Athens, and the establishment of educational programs that highlight the history and traditions of Odesa. Additionally, the initiative will explore business partnerships, trade agreements, and investment opportunities that will contribute to the mutual growth of both cities.
Help
A key component of the initiative will be the establishment of secure donation channels to support Ukrainian citizens, particularly those affected by ongoing conflict. The Ambassador will ensure that funds and aid reach those in need by setting up transparent and reliable systems for donations in Athens. This support will provide critical resources for displaced individuals and families, contributing to Ukraine’s recovery and demonstrating solidarity from Greece’s citizens with their Ukrainian counterparts.
