Constantine Sobol is a co-owner of the shipping company MB Shipping LTD. Founded in 2007, MB Shipping LTD successfully manages a fleet of modern vessels that operate on the Black Sea-Baltic route and beyond. The company conducts around 500 ship calls annually, transporting over one million tons of bulk, general, and containerized cargo. The total annual cargo volume exceeds 2 million tons.
Constantine actively participates in charitable projects and initiatives aimed at supporting the Defense Forces in Ukraine and contributing to the country's victory.
Story of Ambassador
How it all began
He is one of those entrepreneurs whose contributions to Ukraine's economy are invaluable. His company, MB Shipping LTD, was one of the first to take the risk of participating in the grain corridor. By transporting Ukrainian grain on its own vessels, it set an example for Greek shipowners who were hesitant to send their ships to the region. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the volume of agricultural exports carried by his company has exceeded 6% of Ukraine's total exports.
Constantine consistently supports important social projects in his hometown. Despite the ongoing war, his farm in Vylkove continues to operate, producing eco-friendly goods and providing employment to many local residents. The harvest is sold at cost price, with a portion donated free of charge to the military.
For many years, Constantine has been active in the diplomatic field, using his international connections, particularly in Greece, to foster collaboration. He leads an active social life and has a broad network of friends, including mayors of Greek cities, businesspeople, civil servants, diplomats, and politicians. He is also involved in charitable projects and initiatives through the Odesa Business Club, including funding the Diia.Business project in Odesa, which aims to help young entrepreneurs develop their businesses.
Constantine Sobol has a deep love for Odesa and is committed to the city's prosperity and Ukraine’s victory. It is believed that his role as Ambassador of Odesa in Greece will be successful and will contribute to shaping a positive image of the city on the international stage.
